Migrated to A New Blog Engine

Don’t you like pink? I do. <laughs>

I got tired of the old gray simplog blog engine I’ve been using. So I looked for a nice, simple and elegant blog system in sourceforge that will fit my needs.

There are lots out there.

But I want something simple but functional, nice to hack and has lots of room for mods. But, can be a full-fledged blog in itself.

I decided to go for Nucleus Extreme, a NucleusCMS mod by Radek Hamil. Thanks for a nice blog! :D

I’m not a frontend person so I want something easy to layout. It came with some CSS styles to choose from. Neat! The whole layout is easily modified and components added with easy keywording that even accepts parameters! Wow!

Example to insert my Blog Roll table:

<%Table(blogroll,name,asc)%>

It was quite easy to migrate the old blog entries into the new database, I did an insert from an sql statement:

insert blog_nucleus_item
select blog_entry_id, title, NULL, body, NULL, 1, 1, date, 0, 0, karma, cat_id, 0
from old_entries;

    have you tried WordPress. You should try WP. If you are up to blogrolls, this is fully-integrated with WP. :D

    wooooow. but why do the text boxes disappear when i click on them . . . .?

    It’s very pretty! =) I’m tempted to steal the style. Very nice CMS; exports in almost all the formats known to man. <laugh>
